Marcellus High School is located at 1 Mustang Hl Marcellus, NY and provides education for grades 9-12 in Onondaga County. Marcellus Senior High School has a warm, nurturing community atmosphere and they are proud to say that this is an environment unlike any other school. They have a comprehensive educational program aimed at reaching each student and addressing their individual needs. Our teachers, staff and administrators are excited and committed to providing our students with the best possible education. The School sets goals and establishes policy for the school system. All board decisions should follow logically from the board's delineated goals and objectives as stated in the district's Policy Manual. Board members are expected to make decisions on a wide range of problems. Some decisions are strictly routine, while others are somewhat more complex; some are extremely important and some may result from lesser concerns.
Students in Marcellus score in the highest 5% of the students in New York on standardized achievement tests. Marcellus High School has excellent SAT scores with the verbal mean of 545 and a math mean of 561, with 76% of the senior class taking the exam (2007 results), an external measure indicating high student achievement. The Class of 2006 had a 94% rate of achieving Regents diplomas, another external measure of student achievement, which places the high school in "select company" of the most prestigious high schools in New York State. The recognition of two students of Class of 2007 as "commended students" in the National Merit Scholarship Competition is another indicator of success of the quality of instruction taking place at Marcellus High School.
