About  
Maple Hill High School is located at 1216 Maple Hill Road Castleton, NY and serves grades 9-12. A full range of services is available in each building, including library and media centers, music, art, physical education, special education, remediation, extracurricular activities and challenges for highly able learners. Most of our faculty members have more than 10 years experience and master's degrees; teachers are actively involved in their continuing professional development.

The School is located within a 34-square-mile rural/suburban district in Southern Rensselaer County, comprising most of the Town of Schodack and a small part of the Town of Stuyvesant in Columbia County. The Schodack Central School District was formed out of a number of small, rural schools in the late 1940s. Originally a Dutch settlement along the banks of the Hudson River, the area was largely agricultural until the late 20th century, when it became more suburban. Our proximity to the state capital allows for many links between Schodack Central and a variety of educational, cultural and political institutions.

Instruction in this school is conducted in a manner to foster pride among students and faculty. Striving to incorporate modern technological advancements in instruction as well as administration of the district and to make financial resources available to maintain and improve buildings and grounds, which showcases the community's pride.This community enjoys numerous activities lakes, rivers and tributaries; it is an ideal place to live, work or visit. Enjoy fishing, skiing, swimming, boating, hiking, camping or virtually any outdoor activity in the County.
