West Elementary School academic program is comprehensive, focusing on the key elements of reading, mathematics, science, and social studies. Writing, listening and thinking strategies are employed in all of these disciplines, insuring that our students will approach the 21st century with confidence and enthusiasm. Teaching strategies such as collaborative teaching, hands-on learning, flexible grouping and cooperative learning enable each child to become actively involved in the learning process.
