Long Beach Middle School provides intensive instruction to those who need to strengthen critical reading, writing and math skills. The computer center provides Internet instruction, computer graphics, video production, and an understanding of the most current computer software programs. An extensive library media collection supports all curricula areas. Student research is supported by computers offering multimedia programs, magazines online, and Internet searching.
Foreign language is introduced to qualified students beginning in the sixth grade. The Creative Writing Program begins to nurture the talent and interest of young writers. A strong science program produces hundreds of Science Fair projects and many Science Congress Awards. A math team, athletic teams, clubs for gourmet cooking, art, music and industrial arts as well as a Student Organization enhance the Middle School experience.
