Lido Elementary School has several specialists qualified to help students who are in need of remedial academic services. The Reading Center, serviced by two qualified reading teachers, provides assistance to students second through fifth grade, who need extra support. The school must prepare its students for the technological environment they will meet in the years ahead. Only by continually assessing the technological landscape and its implications for learning can we design curricula that will effectively prepare our students for the future.
Staff and Teachers at Lido Elementary School know that all students are capable of learning, regardless of their abilities, race, color, national origin or creed, and works to make sure this responsibility is met. Other goals and philosophies include teaching students to empower themselves to be able to handle challenges in their lives and make them valuable citizens in a democratic society.
