Kipp Tech Valley Charter School has set goals to ensure that students succeed in high school and college by making sure they possess the knowledge and skills to achieve excellence. Tuition is free at this preparatory public middle school that has been recognized York as the highest performing public middle school in the Bronx for the last seven consecutive years. At Kipp Tech Valley Charter School summer school session are provided to students, parents, and teachers for a jump start in preparing for the next academic year.
The Kipp Tech Valley Charter School features a extended school year, that run for over 200 days and includes Saturday sessions that are held at least twice each month. In addition, summer school will be mandatory for all students, and take place prior to the regular school year. Summer time activities include swimming, martial arts, dance, art, step, soccer, basketball, guitar and keyboard. 7th and 8th grade students will use a portion of this time to continue practicing their extracurricular activity.
