King Street School teachers all have masters' degrees and many have sixty or more credits beyond their masters. Fine Arts play a major role in the educational experience of the students. All students visit museums, attend plays and listen to concerts. Teachers apply a humanities approach to teaching and learning and strive to connect all curricular disciplines. Policies of the School are set forth and advise students, parents, employees and the general public that it offers employment and educational opportunities, including vocational education opportunities without regard to sex, race, color, national origin or handicap.
The King Street School mission is felt throughout the community with the belief that all students can learn and the school stands firm they will graduate students who exemplify responsibility, posses positive self-esteem, have value for citizenship, and a life long interest in learning.
