Kent Primary School is located at 1065 Route 52 Carmel, NY. Putnam County is situated in the southeastern part of New York State, between the Hudson River on its west and the New York-Connecticut border on its east. Putnam is southeast of Newburgh, and it is north of White Plains. The county has six public school districts: Brewster, Carmel, Garrison, Haldane, Mahopac, and Putnam Valley. Mahopac is the largest school district in Putnam County, educating more than 5,000 students in four elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. This New York Public School serves grades K-4 in Putnam County of New York State.

There is a caring community of professionals, parents, and learners committed to a partnership that fosters quality educational experiences for all students. The uniqueness of each individual is valued and children are encouraged to become self-motivated, life-long learners and contributing member of their community. School goals are to provide an outstanding instructional program that reflects the needs and talents of our students.
