John Street School meets the needs of students in grades kindergarten through sixth with basic educational courses such as math, science, social studies, English, and physical education. The staff has a personal interest in developing students’ independent and creative thought, willingness to accept intellectual risks and challenges, forming superior work habits and cooperative, positive approaches to learning. While these attributes cannot always be precisely measured and adjusted, Teachers honor them and work energetically to foster their development.
There is no doubt that the development of these skills brings with them not only a sense of academic achievement but also a feeling of pride and satisfaction. The school is small therefore staff, teachers, and parents along with the community work side by side to ensure students are meeting all academic requirements to prepare them for taking an active role as an upstanding citizen in their community and society as a whole.
