J.H.S. 13 Jackie Robinson J.H.S. has the right tools necessary to excel academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and culturally so they can attain success in all they endeavor. Each classroom is a community of learners, a place where it is safe to learn with cooperation and collaboration among its members. The identification of individual learning styles and independent thinking is fostered. Academics are effectively integrated with state-of-the-art technology. Language Arts, students have a wide range of opportunities to learn about literacy in a way that promotes reading, writing, speaking and listening in their daily lives. Teachers use a variety of appropriate, appealing and substantive literature and non-fiction books to involve students with reading. The Teachers are professionals and are knowledgeable, talented, caring and nurturing. All are dedicated to ensuring a quality early elementary education for each student. The School serves a diverse, multilingual student population of recent immigrants to the United States.
