Jefferson Middle School is located at 195 Martin Road Jamestown, NY. This middle school services the City of Jamestown in Chautauqua County and accepts students in grades 5th through 8th. The staff, students and parents are very proud of Jefferson Middle School and feel they have a great deal to offer students to make their middle school experience a successful one! The staff and other school officials have high expectations for students and hope that through the four years at Jefferson, they will walk away with a solid foundation to go on to their high school experience and beyond. The teachers are all content certified by New York State and are very knowledgeable and skilled in their respective fields and enjoy working with adolescents. At the 7th and 8th grade levels we offer girls' volleyball, basketball, softball and track and boys’ football, wrestling, basketball, track and modified baseball.
Over and above core academic classes, each student also receives one hour of physical education every other day and rotate through six Exploratron's including Art, Technology, Music, Computer, Family and Consumer Science, and Health. Students receive instruction in all six areas in a two-year rotation. Activities such as Jaguar Band, Strings Orchestra and Chorus programs in the morning as well as many sports programs in the afternoons.
