Horizon-On-The-Hudson Magnet School is located at 137 Montgomery Street Newburgh, NY and it serves grades K-6 in Orange County. The Mission of Horizons-on-the-Hudson Magnet School is to produce highly-motivated, risk-taking students who use their own gifts and talents to be successful in their life endeavors. This will be accomplished in a caring, productive learning environment using many, varied, and unusual instructional strategies to enrich the mandated curriculum, as well as providing innovative educational experiences for all.
At Horizon-On-The-Hudson Magnet School students receive the benefits of classrooms equipped with computers back by instructional technologies to give them a enhance education opportunity. Every grade level curriculum is aligned with the New York State Learning Standards and enriched by an innovative reading series and technology instructions.
Horizon-On-The-Hudson Magnet School is apart of the Newburgh City School District and they apply the common philosophy set forth by the school board which is to provide students a sound environment for educational excellence that will develop the skills, attitudes, knowledge and values to become contributing members of society.
