Hopevale School is located at 3780 Howard Road Hamburg, NY. Hopevale School offers education to grades 7 through 12 and it is the only school facility in the Hopevale Union Free School District. The primary mission of the Hopevale Union Free School District is to reclaim our youth so they are better able to develop their unique learning potentials and character, using their critical thinking and creativity to foster better decision making throughout life.
HUFSD offers school programming in grades 7 through 12 for youth who have emotional disabilities. As a public school district, it is accountable for following the state learning standards, administering state testing programs and providing Regents track instruction. Most classrooms have eight students taught by a teacher and assisted by a classroom aide.
The school serves youth’s with emotional, learning and behavioral needs that have been in conflict with school, family and community. The school norms of Respect, Safety, Responsibility and Helping are foundation values for our school environment, as are the "Circle of Courage" universal human needs for Belonging, Mastery, Independence and Generosity.
