Highland Middle School is located at 71 Main Street Highland, NY serving grades 6-8 in Ulster County. Ulster County is located along the majestic Hudson River and amidst the scenic Catskill Mountains of New York State, Ulster County offers a unique blend of urban amenities in a country environment. School Officials recognize the uniqueness of each student, the school staff pledges to foster a desire for educational excellence that will help students achieve their full potential intellectually, physically, socially, morally and culturally. You will find this school community very active working with all children to provide a foundation for students to reach their maximum potential through a comprehensive, exact standards.

Teachers know technology in the broadest sense is the application of modern communications and computing technologies to the creation, management and use of knowledge. In an educational setting, information technology should provide students with a variety of enriching ideas and experiences that foster intellectual curiosity, achievement, and a pattern of life-long learning. They are on very solid financial footing and they are working hard to manage the educational resources well, making the most of the community’s backing for excellent educational programs, facilities, and support services for the students.

The Highland Middle School surrounding community is made up of both friendly and supportive parents that desire a quality education for their children and remain very active with the PTA to ensure learning excellence. With teachers and staff adhering to the philosophy “that all children can learn” coupled together with supportive parents and a School District that provides a tremendous learning opportunity for education.
