Helen B. Duffield Elementary School tackles the task of learning through SBMT. SBMT is a team comprised of teachers, non-instructional staff, administrators and parents. Through their shared decision making, subcommittees are formed to address ways, through programs/curriculum, to improve students’ academic achievement and enhance the school climate. Along with providing an education, Helen B. Duffield Elementary School adheres to the mission statement of the district and treats each child as a special person. Instilling a pride in their school and their community provides the basic foundation for each student to become productive members of society. Students enjoy the quality courses and the fun learning environment, which helps them appreciate learning, which will stay with them through their school years and beyond.
