Harvey Milk High School

About
Harvey Milk High School is the oldest and largest organization helping gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning. (HMHS) is a four-year, fully accredited, inclusive voluntary public high school, named in honor of gay-rights champion and groundbreaking San Francisco politician Harvey Milk. The HMHS door is open for all students, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or physical abilities. The teachers strive to encourage the growth of each student to ensure self-confidence and pride in their accomplishments, so each student can become productive members of their community and society. Along with the teachers, parents and the community work together through various programs to ensure students have all available educational tools and resources to excel in all areas of education, emotional, and socially.
