There are three significant local scholarships available to Fort Plain High School seniors.
FORT PLAIN SCHOLARSHIP ASSOCIATION AWARDS (awarded at graduation): All college bound seniors are encouraged to apply. Some awards are based on scholarship alone; some on scholarship and financial need. DUFFY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: Awarded to a college bound senior entering a medical or health related field. Applicants should have at least an 85 average. REINHART FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: All college bound seniors are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are awarded based upon scholastic ranking, involvement in school/community activities, financial need, and recommendation.
The Fort Plain Sports Booster Club and athletes raise money throughout the year to help all sports at all levels. Those funds are also used to sponsor athletic and academic scholarships and several athletic functions during the year. Sponsored events include receptions for fall, winter and spring sports, as well as tournaments for volleyball, girls’ and boys’ soccer, the annual cross country invitational, boys’ and girls’ basketball, track sectionals, and softball.
