P.S. 31 Harriet Ross Tubman School is located at 212 Stanton Street Buffalo, NY. This school has a mission to build a partnership between school, parents, and the community which encourages and enhances academic, emotional, and social growth. Harriet Ross Tubman Academy is part of the Buffalo City School District and the Board of Education is the official policy-making body for this school. The school attends to the educational needs for grades PK through 4 and adheres to the belief that all students develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially at different paces.
The staff believes in motivation, trust, self-respect, and excellence. Students attending are motivated to learn and have trust and respect for each other. The school starts the day with hope, neat and well groomed, with a mind that everyone will be positive and productive.
As listeners and readers, students will collect data, facts, and ideas discover relationships, concepts, and generalizations; and use knowledge generated from oral, written, and electronically produced texts. As speakers and writers, they will use oral and written language to acquire, interpret, apply, and transmit information.
