Greene Intermediate School is located at 105 Elementary Lane Greene, NY. This public School handles the educational needs for the town of Greene New York, located in Chenango County for all grades from 3 through 5. The educators of the Greene Intermediate School will educate all learners to utilize technology for the purpose of problem solving, accessing and using information, making decisions in an information-rich environment, and communicating effectively as they live and work successfully in our global society.
The efforts of the reading program are based on the following beliefs: all students will experience success, reading is a life-long skill, and reading is fun. The reading specialist works closely with the classroom teacher to best meet the individual needs of the child. The support can be provided in several ways. The reading specialist may go into the classroom or the students may go to the reading specialist’s classroom. In either setting, the support may be done individually, in small group, or a combination of the two. The length and frequency of the time spent in this program is based on the individual needs of the child.
