Great Neck North Middle School curriculum has been revised and aligned to reflect the New York State Learning Standards and it emphasizes the development of basic literacy skills, for example, reading, writing, listening and speaking, math, social studies and science. An important emphasis is also placed upon providing students a well rounded curriculum with exceptionally strong programs in music, physical education and art. Great Neck North students do well on state assessments with high percentages of the students meeting state standards in language arts and math year in and year out.
Great Neck North provides students a safe and nurturing environment with a well designed program of classroom management and student discipline. Values such as responsibility, respect, citizenship, service to others and patriotism are emphasized and reinforced regularly through student recognition programs and special events.
