Great Neck North High School

About  
Great Neck North High School continues to provide for additional work in the area of literacy and reading instruction. The emphasis will be on active reading in particular literal comprehension skills, inferential comprehension and rhetorical awareness. The staff knows that learning has changed with the rapid advancement of technology, so they know education today will requires significantly different knowledge and skills than previous generations. Students must be educated to know how to learn, solve problems, and make decisions in fast changing environment.

Great Neck North prepares students for higher education through all aspects of learning and testing. This way each child after graduation will be ready to achieve excellence whether in college, a university, or in life. Great Neck North High School is supported by the community with necessary resources for constant professional improvement, an essential element in meeting the ever changing instructional environment, and challenges in education.
