George W. Miller Elementary School is located at 50 Blauvelt Road Nanuet, NY and serves grades K-3 in Rockland County. Technology tools in the G. W. Miller Elementary School are applied across all subject areas and integrated into the curriculum. The Instructional Technology Standards are the framework for the use of technology in all areas of learning. Instructional Technology Skills and Concepts Checklists identify isolated skills related to contemporary technology tools and suggested grade levels for introducing, developing and mastering the skills. Students are introduced to, develop, and master technology skills and concepts via curriculum-related, standards based activities and tasks.
This Rockland County school serves a diverse, multilingual student population of immigrants to the United States. They seek to provide each student with a language-rich learning experience that moves them to a point where they can read, write and communicate effectively in English and their native language. The students will learn to use their minds well to critically analyze and respond to complex real-world issues. They will use what they learn to become successful academically and professionally and to become advocates for themselves and their communities.
