Franklin Early Childhood Center PreKindergarten is program supported by New York State and the school district for all children eligible for Kindergarten. Classes are conducted in the mornings by a certified teacher and classroom aide. Children may attend up to 5 mornings per week. In Kindergarten teachers include learning experiences in all areas of the curriculum. Students learn to find satisfaction and pleasure in developing skills independently or by working in a group within an integrated day framework.
Franklin Early Childhood Center PreKindergarten is home to an increasingly diverse student body. Services are provided to the English Language Learners, children with special educational needs, and students with exceptional talents and gifts. These schools are staffed with psychologists, guidance counselors, nurses, social workers, and a student assistance counselor who work together to ensure that each child learns in the best possible environment.
