Forest Road School physical education, health, music, art, library and technology programs are also an exciting part of each student’s instruction. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are emphasized, and promote excellence and lifelong learning. Students are encouraged to develop intercultural awareness that includes a study of their own traditions and history. The children are actively involved in extensive, hands on projects requiring the use of state of the art technology; enabling them to become productive citizens of an ever changing global society. Research-based best practices are used in reading, the writing process, mathematics, science and social studies. Reading, writing and mathematics are taught in extended blocks of time to practice and apply skills.
