Fitzhugh Park Elementary School is located at E 10Th And Bridge Sts Oswego, NY and it serves grades K-6 in Oswego County. One of the schools major goals is to educate all children to attain high levels of academic performance while at the same time to promote growth in developing a positive self-image, social skills and appropriate behavior. The family and the community share in this responsibility of educating our children and we encourage your active role in their important endeavor. Parents and community members are encouraged to participate in school activities, and volunteer time and talent in a variety of ways.
The curriculum coordinator works closely with administration, grade levels, and departments to ensure that curriculum is continually being reviewed, evaluated, and adjusted to meet the needs of students. Additionally, staff analyzes state and local test results as a means of changing curriculum and instruction. The School works with technology integration and activities that provide opportunities for problem solving, students at the high school level they gradually become accountable for their own learning.
Parents are involved in many ways contributing to the success of the school to help guide the school board to ensure all students receive the best education possible while maintaining a social environment for the students to learn and grow into mature upstanding citizens.
