Felix V. Festa Middle School is located at 30 Parrott Road West Nyack, NY and it serves grades 6-8 in Rockland County. This School agrees with the same principles set forth by the district as well as the other schools along with providing an education that will aid students in becoming leaders in our democratic society and in their community. Teachers and staff work alongside parents and community leaders to provide the best possible learning environment for the betterment of not only the educational opportunities, but also the pride of living in New York. Teachers are dedicated to providing an excellent learning environment where students will be trained to become successful.
Learning technology applications will deepen student engagement and improve student achievement by enabling them to access and analyze information, solve problems, collaborate with others, and communicate their thoughts and ideas. Effective use of learning technologies will allow students to become self-directed, self-motivated, and lifelong learners. Teachers increasingly will be facilitators of student learning through proficient use of learning technologies.
This Rockland County school serves a diverse, multilingual student population of immigrants to the United States. They seek to provide each student with a language-rich learning experience that moves them to a point where they can read, write and communicate effectively in English and their native language. The students will learn to use their minds well to critically analyze and respond to complex real-world issues. They will use what they learn to become successful academically and professionally and to become advocates for themselves and their communities.
