Ernie Davis Middle School is located at 610 Lake Street in Elmira, New York. Ernie Davis Middle offers a quality education for students in 6th through 8th grade. Their mission statement is “The faculty and staff at Ernie Davis Middle School will develop responsible and motivated life-long learners, in a safe a stimulating environment.” Ernie Davis Middle School works along side with the same beliefs of the district in that everyone learns in different ways and at different rates, high expectations help create results, achievement motivates self confidence, laughter and a sense of humor enhances learning, learning is lifelong, diversity is an asset, along with a safe, secure and welcoming environment promotes learning.
With the traditional curriculum Ernie Davis Middle School also offers a variety of clubs such as Davis Express Club, Drama Club, Kiwanis Builders Club, Library Club, National Junior Honor Society, Newspaper Club, Peace Club, Student Government, and the Yearbook Club. The after school program known as KidZone offers such activities as Homework House, Arts & Crafts, Reading Group, Crocheting, Golf, Computers, Quiz Team, Cardio Conditioning, EDMS Choir, Just Friends, YW Teens, KRAMER, TechGyrls, Chess Mate, Intro to Drama, Science Olympiad, Cooking, and Swimming.
