E.J. Russell Elementary School is located at 78 Holland Avenue Pine Bush, NY and it serves grades PK-5 in Orange County. The school is apart of the Pine Bush Central School District, that was first established in 1938. Pine Bush is a hamlet located in the Town of Crawford, in Orange County, New York. Technology is focused on providing high-quality learning resources in all classrooms and facilitating communication between all learners.
The efforts of the reading program are based on the following beliefs: all students will experience success, reading is a life-long skill, and reading is fun. The reading specialist works closely with the classroom teacher to best meet the individual needs of the child. The support can be provided in several ways. Parents participate in Parent Teacher Student Organization. Parents work alongside teachers and the community to ensure every student receives the educational tools and resources needed to achieve success in an ever-changing world.
The E.J. Russell Elementary School Academic Intervention Services are intended to assist students who are at risk of not achieving the State learning standards in English language arts, mathematics, social studies and science, or who are at risk of not gaining the knowledge and skills needed to meet or exceed designated performance levels on State assessments. The additional instruction and/or support are provided in various school settings.
