East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School is committed to providing a safe and secure educational environment where each child realizes his/her maximum learning potential and develops a desire for lifelong learning. Technology is available to all students and staff on campus and off campus. Students use technology as a tool for learning. As such, they can easily access and analyze information, collaborate and communicate with others electronically, be able to work independently and pursue areas of interest for lifelong learning. The students’ experiences with technology will enable them to compete in a global society.
East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School Teachers use technology to motivate students to learn. Technology will support differentiation of instruction whether is it for content, process, or product. NCLB and EETT require schools to improve student performance and teachers, and administrators, also use technology to collect and analyze student data for the purpose of improving student achievement. In addition, technology is used as a means of communication between and among teachers, administrators, parents, and students.
