The school known as School 27 was renovated in 2005 and when it was completed it received a new name, Eagle Point Elementary School. The school was reopened in January of 2006 and its name was based on the schools location at the city's highest point. The school educates students from PK through 5th grade. The school has a low enrollment compared to some other Albany District Schools and this is beneficial to students and faculty alike. Students needs are met more readily and teachers are able to personalize lessons to their students. Professional partnerships with the Eagle Point Elementary School include The College of St. Rose, University at Albany, Hebrew Academy in Albany, and more.
