Martin Luther King Multicultural Institute
P.S. 39 Dr. Martin Luther King Multicultural Institute is located at 167 East Utica Street Buffalo, NY. The 1926 school building has been incorporated into the floor plan of the 1968 addition. The visible portion of the original structure is the east elevation's third floor. The rectangular plan with flat roof has brick facing the principal elevations in a Flemish bond style. Pilaster strips mark bay areas. The Contemporary style addition is a two story, 15 bay brick structure with U-shaped plan and flat roof.

Education at this school starts at grade level PK and continues through the 8th in Erie County, of New York State. The purpose at Dr. Martin Luther King Multicultural Institute is to ensure that each of our students receives the best education we can provide. Through the caring, creativity, dedication and experience of our staff, we are building a new generation of leaders. Quality and excellence are our goals.

Dr. Martin Luther King has a mission to ensure that every student has the confidence, knowledge, thinking skills, and character to assume responsibility for life and contribute to the lives of others. Collaboration among staff, students, parents and community members is the key to our success.
