Dover High School is located at 2368 Route 22 Dover Plains, NY. This High school is part of the Dover Union Free School District and the Board of Education is the official policy-making body for this school. The school attends to the educational needs for grades 9 through 12 in Dutchess County and educates through quality programs and support services which promote the intellectual, physical and cultural well-being.

Dover High School has a strong investment in the arts. Each year, the high school puts on a dramatic production in the fall and a musical production in the spring. The hallways of the school are continually updated with new student artwork, and graduating senior art students are invited to paint a classroom door. Various musical groups have visited the campus, including Beatlemania, Fruteland Jackson and Sonanda. Students are also encouraged to participate in jazz band, pit band, the song writing club and various battles of the bands.

The school also offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including many sports, a literary magazine, a yearbook club, a mock trial team, a diversity club, peer leadership, and SADD, among others. Ultimately, the school provides the student with a wonderful opportunity for a quality educational experience, but it is up to the student to make the most of this opportunity. The school opens the door and provides every means of help available to get through the door, but the student must take the initiative and make the commitment.
