Cold Spring Elementary School is located at 358 Homan Road Stanfordville, NY. This school accepts students from grades K through 5th in Dutchess County of New York. In addition to social studies, math, science and language arts, students participate in a variety of special area classes including: reading, art, music, computers, technology, home and careers, physical education, band and chorus.
Cold Spring Elementary School makes use of the Academic Intervention Services (AIS) include additional instruction and/or student support services which supplement the instruction provided in the general curriculum and assist students in meeting the New York State learning standards.
Academic Intervention Services are intended to assist students who are at risk of not achieving the State learning standards in English language arts, mathematics, social studies and science, or who are at risk of not gaining the knowledge and skills needed to meet or exceed designated performance levels on State assessments. The additional instruction and/or support are provided in various school settings.
Reading Specialists provide instruction for identified students on a regular basis throughout the school year. Reading specialists work in conjunction with the classroom teachers to target needed areas of instruction and to serve as a resource person.
