City Honors School at Fosdick Masten Park is located at 186 East North Street Buffalo, NY. City Honors was founded in 1975 for academically gifted and talented high school students. Today it offers students AP courses as well as a full IB Diploma Program, and is nationally recognized for its high academic ranking. City Honors School also includes middle school grades 5-8. Presently, CHS is implementing MYP (Middle Years Program) of international education.
Over 35 clubs and extra curricular activities-from African Dance, American Field Service (AFS) and Amnesty International to Ski Club, Student Council and Yearbook. Band, Chorus and Orchestra are available as well as participation in a Musical each year. Special Programs: International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and Middle Years Program, Roswell Park Research Diploma Program. Elective courses are offered based on the availability of teaching staff and district funding. A minimum of 1 credit in Art and/or Music is required for graduation as well as 1/2 credit in Health, and two credits in Physical Education (1/2 credit earned each year Grades 9 – 12).
