Chestnut Ridge Middle School Chestnut is located at 892 Route 45 Chestnut Ridge, NY and serves grades 7-8 in Rockland County. Chestnut Ridge Middle School encourages students to take an active role in their education and school experience, promoting high academic achievement, supporting personal development, and meeting the individual needs of each student. They use data to drive the instructional program to close the achievement gap.
Students will be provided with a comprehensive, challenging, purposeful, integrated, and standards-based educational program that will result in improved communication, writing, thinking, and analytical skills as well as technological skills that will enhance their personal preparedness.
Students will add to their repertoire of appropriate social and behavioral interactions with alternative strategies. The faculty and staff will commit to providing excellence in academic instruction, guidance, support services as needed and an environment conducive to risk taking. Parents and members of the community will be invited to be active partners in the educational process that will lead to student achievement.
