Charlotte High School is located at 4115 Lake Avenue Rochester, NY. This Public school is governed by the Rochester City School District Board of Education and it serves the community of Rochester, New York, in Monroe County. The School Board is comprised of unpaid officials elected by the voters to take the formal legal actions and establish the basic policies for the conduct of the schools.
The chief executive officer of the District (Superintendent) and is trusted with the duty of seeing that the Board policies and education laws are adhered to by the staff. Through the physical education programs, all students have a great opportunity to grow, develop, and achieve to their potentials.
Charlotte High School Serves grades 7–12 and is called the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism gives students an opportunity to explore and prepare for careers in travel, tourism, and hospitality. Internships and other practical experience are part of the curriculum. The Academy of Sports Medicine & Management prepares students for careers in athletic training, physical therapy, sports medicine, and sports management. Students have internships with local athletic, medical and sports organizations during senior year. Research-based instructional strategies help students develop skills in English Language Arts and Math.
Hands-on experiences and small-group projects help students learn to find answers through research, investigation, and discussion. Some classrooms have two co-teachers working together to enhance instruction. Computers and technology integrated throughout curriculum.
