Charlotte Avenue Elementary School is located at 301 Charlotte Avenue in Hamburg, New York. The school is one of four elementary schools that provide an education for students in pre-kindergarten through 5th grades. This is the only school in the district with a pre-kindergarten program.

At Charlotte Avenue Elementary School, education is a shared responsibility between the school, parents, and the community. Character Education is at the top of the list at Charlotte with their “I Care Rules” which was adopted in 2001. The I Care Rules are five statements with the main focus on positive behavior. The I Care Rules set forth by Charlotte Avenue Elementary School include We listen to each other; Hands are for helping, not hurting; We use I-Care language; We care about each other’s feeling; and We are responsible for what we say and do.
Along with the Character Education for students, Charlotte Avenue Elementary offers many wonderful programs for students to enjoy such as Arts in Education, After School Programs, Breakfast Program, Academic Enrichment, Compensatory Education, Computer Lab, Counseling Services, Destination Imagination, Before School Program for 4th graders, intramurals for 4th and 5th graders, Library Media Center, Occupational Therapy, Peer Helpers, Physical Therapy, Safety Patrol for 5th graders, Service Club, and Speech & Language.
