Calcium Primary School is located at 24550 Indian River Drive Calcium, NY and provides quality education for grades K through 3 for the community of Calcium. An abundance of special services are delivered by certified reading specialists, special education teachers, a school counselor, a school psychologist, a school social worker, and a full-time registered nurse. Even further, teaching assistants and teacher aides provide additional instruction and assistance to augment the instructional program at all grade levels.
At Calcium Primary School, the safety and security of our students is our very highest priority. Second to that priority is the development of each student’s literacy skills. We believe that once achieving a sound ability to read, write, speak and listen, students will be more successful learners in all other subject areas.
Calcium Primary has many students who come to us from various places in the world. Being a school with 80% of the population associated with the military, we have been richly rewarded with a “Rainbow Coalition” of multi-culturalism. They celebrate their differences and appreciate our similarities.
As facilitators of learning, Calcium teachers use a variety of strategies to enhance academic achievement, address the diverse needs of students, and maintain a favorable learning environment that provides each student an opportunity to apply that knowledge.
