Cairo-Durham High School is located at 1301 Route 145 Cairo, NY. This public school is situated in the Cairo-Durham Central School District and provides education opportunities for students in grades 9 through 12 for residents of Cairo New York, in Greene County. The Town of Cairo is in the south part of the county, partly in the Catskill Park. In 1803, the Town of Cairo was formed from the Towns of Catskill, Coxsackie, and Durham.
Cairo-Durham High School operates on an alternate day block schedule. High school students are offered a broad range of activities, including band, chorus, drama, student government and interscholastic sports. Combining classroom and project-based learning, high school the faculty encourages learning and problem solving. In addition, advanced placement courses are available for students to earn college credit.
