Burns Avenue School enjoys many programs to develop their reading and writing skills and a great deal of emphasis is placed upon the application of skills to situations that require problem solving and critical thinking. Computer technology is integrated into each curriculum area and enrichment programs such as Chorus, Band, Orchestra, Great Books, and Math Olympiads are offered to students.
At Burns Avenue Elementary School, students are encouraged to take an active role in acquiring the numerous skills that are introduced on each Grade level. Emphasis is placed upon learning through hands-on experiences and interdisciplinary activities which link the curriculum areas and provide the children with an in-depth understanding of our community and the world.
