P.S. 17 students are given new opportunities to expand their minds and knowledge base, as the environment of the school responds to changes in culture and anticipates future developments. The school applies common philosophies set forth by the school community which is to provide students a sound environment for educational excellence that will develop the skills, attitudes, knowledge and values to become contributing members of society. Officials work to ensure the curriculum is continually being reviewed, evaluated, and adjusted to meet the needs of students.
