Broadway Elementary School is located at 1000 Broadway in Elmira, New York. Broadway Elementary School is one of the 8 elementary schools in the Elmira City School District and provides an excellent education for students in pre-kindergarten through 5th grades. Broadway Elementary School motto is “A better school begins with you and me.”
The staff and teachers adhere to the mission statement of the district and pride themselves on working together with students, parents, and the community to provide a safe and quality learning environment for their students.
Broadway Elementary School was named a high performing/gap closing school on May 23, 2007 for the second year in a row by the New York State Education Department. Broadway Elementary School met state standards for English Language Arts and Math during the school year of 2005/2006 and made adequate yearly progress in English Language Arts, Math, and Science for the school years of 2004/2005 and 2005/2006.
Broadway Elementary School honors students with awards throughout the year such as the Bravo awards for students showing respect and responsibility, Broadway’s Best awards for students exhibiting hard work, and Broadway perfect attendance awards.
