Branch Brook Elementary School above the basic academic curriculum, students receive instruction in art, music, physical education, and library. They have an enrichment program for targeted students in grades 3 through 5. The goal of academic proficiency exist side-by-side with the humane practice of mutual caring, respect for the dignity of every individual, and the nurturing of each person's self-esteem. The Branch Brook student understands that the virtue of self-reliance must be tempered by awareness of his/her need for others and that the success and happiness of each person is inextricably linked to the success and happiness of all with whom life's projects are shared. The faculty has done an excellent job in assisting students to meet the demands of the New York State Learning Standards. 4th graders at Branch Brook are being taught curriculum highlights local political institutions, and historical developments with connections to NYS & United States history. It studies the structure and functions of the die rent branches of local government & the rights and responsibilities of citizens.
