Border City Elementary School is located at 125 Border City Road Geneva, NY serving grades K-5 in Seneca County. Students, staff and parents of the former Border City Multiage School have relocated to a beautifully renovated building in the heart of Waterloo. Although the facilities are much more expansive, their trademarks - the warm and friendly environment, exceptional parent involvement, and interaction between students of different grades and abilities - continue to support the teaching and learning in our school.
Their multiage practices, which are closely aligned with the New York State standards and curriculum, allow students a continuous progression of learning. The integration of ELA, technology, fine arts, character education, and life skills into the content areas allows our staff to focus on concepts and processes, to emphasize higher order of thinking skills, and to build our students' interest and sense of wonder. They have strong Arts in Education program, which includes musical presentations throughout the year, student art shows, field trips, in-house presenters, artists in residence, and an end of the year Arts/Career Fair.
The family atmosphere at Main Street Elementary School is predicated on the belief that a collaboration of educators, parents, and community members is necessary to develop the whole child. All parents and extended families are encouraged to become involved in their Home-School Connection.
