Binghamton High School is located at 31 Main Street in Binghamton, New York. This public high school is centrally located in the heart of Binghamton. Students from many different countries with diverse cultural and religions attend this school every year. The school is noted to be one of the first schools in New York to offer the International Baccalaureate. Additionally, Binghamton High School offers 14 Advanced Placement exams, these classes are taught primarily with the goal to ready students to pass Regents Examinations administered by the New York State Department of Education.
The school has received national recognition for its “Connection program”, which offers wide-ranging information and resources to assist students in their college selection and application process. BHS is very popular for its vast contributions in the fine art fields. “Project Lead the Way “is a program made available for students seeking career choices like Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Engineering Design and Development. This pre-engineering program is set up with the Rochester Institute of Technology and Binghamton High School to enable college credits to be received for students in the program.
Experience-Based Education is readily available at Binghamton High for students who are academically capable, but for a variety of reasons have not done very well in traditional high school class settings. These EBE programs have very flexible schedules with classes that are very small so students receive more personal attention from teachers and all the available resources.
