Beacon High School outside the usual courses of studies is rich with student clubs. The Math club is made up of students who enjoy doing challenging Math problems. It is run in conjunction with the BHS Math team that competes in a league with other schools. They meet on Wednesdays and the team meets are also on Wednesdays (one per month from Nov-Feb). This year's team is on the cusp of qualifying for Sectionals for the 3rd consecutive year. Video Club students work in the theater during school and outside events. They develop their skills in handling the equipment for recording, editing, and production of video for television and DVD's.
The Foreign Language Club lets students discuss and learn about other cultures. In past years they have gone on various field trips relating to cultural events. When funding is available they hope to resume taking field trips.
