Beacon High School

About  
Beacon High School students will achieve excellence in skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. The school offers some outstanding classes in art, music, and technology. Students attending this school will find a very helpful guidance office staff to help students with important decisions about their future such as; Academic Counseling, Goal Setting, Career Counseling, Social Skills Assistance, College Financial Aid Guidance, and other types of personal support. Art courses stress the development of a visual vocabulary, based upon the elements and principles of art. Students will also learn how to start a business and manage a business. Areas of study include product selection, pricing, sales promotion, advertising, selling, visual merchandising, and marketing research. The committed staff, faculty, and teachers provide many opportunities to learn through standards-based instruction and challenge students in order to prepare them for the New York State Assessments.
