West Middle School is located at 217 Genesee Street in Auburn, New York and provides a safe and caring learning environment for students in grades sixth through eighth.
The mission of West Middle School is to work along side the community and family to create well-educated, productive, and caring individuals that grow in character, integrity, and social responsibility. West Middle School strives to provide a safe environment while helping students with the transition from elementary school while preparing them for higher education.
Along with a quality education West Middle School offers many before and after programs, which are offered to all schools in the Auburn City School District. A few of the programs include The Schweinfurth memorial Art Center offers a free Art After School program and the Booker T. Washington Teen Scene Program. Students can also choose from a variety of extra-curricular activities including arts, dance, athletics, leadership clubs, and pro-social recreational games.
Staff and teachers along with the community and family work together to provide the best learning environment where students can learn at their own level and become productive members of their community and society while enjoying their educational years.
