Amsterdam High School is located at 140 Saratoga Avenue Amsterdam, NY and provides education for grades 9-12. This New York public school is governed by the Amsterdam City School District in Montgomery County. This is accomplished by providing strong academic programs in a safe environment that is supported by all stakeholders."
Students achieving Regents diplomas have dramatically increased as well as the number attending two and four year colleges. Amsterdam High School has a dedicated faculty who provide a very comprehensive program including sequences in almost every possible area. The faculty has done an excellent job in assisting our students to meet the demands of the New York State Learning Standards. They were an all Regents High School long before these mandates were introduced.
Amsterdam High School graduates attend some of the finest colleges in the nation, including, for example, Columbia University, Cornell, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Bard, Brown University, Dartmouth, Vassar and the University at Albany. Along with this, the teachers and staff are committed to professionalism while creating an educational atmosphere that listens to students with values that offer communication and support.
