Allegany-Limestone High School is located at 3131 Five Mile Road Allegany, NY. The High School is located in Cattaraugus County, and provides education for grades 9th through 12th. Students receive instruction from nearly 60 professional faculty members and staff as they endeavor to earn the 25 ½ credits needed to graduate from Limestone High School programs. This school has been rated with consistently high test scores and graduation rates and offers small class sizes. Students can select from over 75 courses taught in the school. Courses are organized into the areas of English, math, social studies, science, languages, fine and practical arts, technology, and computers.
For the 2007-2008 school year courses include English, Spanish, U.S. History, statistics, calculus, and pottery. Other courses are under review for inclusion in this program. Students at Limestone High School are also offered an additional 20 vocational programs. The school encourages all students to participate in many of the extra-curricular clubs and programs for after school. At Limestone High School they know to help students become successful, all individual needs of the learner must be addressed - academic, athletic, social, moral, and ethical. The learner will access information and use it critically and creatively to solve problems.
